Creative Canvas is a board for generating image, video, and audio side by side, wiring the output of one generation into the input of another. Compose sits inside the canvas as a separate studio for assembling those results into an image composite, a storyboard, or an edited video.
The three editors
Compose has three editors, switched from one tab strip:
- Image combines generated and uploaded images into a single composite — layers, crop, and a logo overlay.
- Storyboard chains a sequence of generated clips, each with its own prompt, so you can review and regenerate one panel without redoing the rest.
- Video is a timeline editor for arranging clips, text, and audio into an edited video.
From storyboard to timeline
Once a storyboard panel has a generated result you like, send it to the Video editor’s timeline. Each panel becomes a clip in sequence, in the order it appears in the storyboard. From there, trim, reorder, and add text or music on the timeline.
Export
Video exports to MP4 from the browser. Export runs one at a time — start a second export and the first one must finish or be cancelled first. You can also export the current frame as a PNG, or export the edit as JSON.
MP4 export needs a browser with VideoEncoder support: Chrome and Edge are supported. Safari can hang partway through an export; if that happens, switch to Chrome or Edge.
Credits and cost preview
Each generation shows its credit cost before you run it, so you know the price before you spend it. You’re only charged when a result actually arrives — a failed or timed-out generation costs nothing.
Limits
- A canvas document is capped at 8 MB. Large documents come from many generations or large uploads — remove ones you no longer need to stay under the cap.
- One export runs at a time per editor.
