# Triggers you can see: catch a test event, watch an app, poll a sheet

Workflow triggers now show real data before you build. Catch a live event, pin it as the sample, and map every later step from it.

- **Catch a test event.** Send a real event and the builder captures it. Pin one as the sample that every later step maps its fields from.
- **Eight trigger events with filters**, so a workflow runs only for the records that match.
- **App events** from your connected apps start a workflow the moment something happens there.
- **Polling triggers** watch a source on a schedule. Google Sheets rows come first.
